I grew up in the West Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I always loved art, so I knew early on I wanted to go into a creative field when I grew up. I ended up going to art school and became a photographer, and worked professionally for the better part of 13 + years. One of my favorite parts of this career, as a wedding and newborn photographer was working with the parents and newly engaged couples, I was able to be a small part of one of their greatest adventures. To see such a raw vulnerability in people and being able to tell their story even if being able to only capture just a small portion of it, made me love story telling. Being a skilled photographer and stylist has given me the tools to have a detailed understanding of photo composition, layout adjustments that ensure our clients vision is met.
I ended up following my partner to New York, got married, started a little family and the rest is history as they say. When I’m not behind my computer editing photographs or designing for a project, you will find me in the kitchen cooking up something yummy.
Transitioning to a new career, to become a UX Designer is something I am very excited and proud of. My past experiences has helped mold me into a better listener for my team and clients, to help achieve our project goals. During my work and school experience I have built strength in encouraging teamwork and creativity. I support and appreciate self motivation. I am self sufficient in teams and independent work. I flourish with team management.
